Review Policies for Books

Hi,  Thanks for visiting All About Cosy! 

If you are an author, publisher, or publicist who would like me to review one of your books, please read carefully through my policies and other relevant info before contacting me. 

Policies

  • You may send me requests to review books. I have a right to say no.

  • My reviews are going to be honest and reflect my own opinions!

  • Accepting a book does not guarantee a positive review.

  • I do not accept payment for reviews.

  • I reserve the right to not finish reading a book I am not enjoying, and I reserve the right not to review a book I have not finished. (If I can’t finish it, it’s probably in your best interest for me to skip the review)

  • I will cross post a thorough, if not identical (ie no pictures) review on Goodreads and BookBub. I will also promote books that I review in a post on Instagram and Pinterest. 

  • If I accept your book for review, I will try to review it in a timely manner. If you send me an ARC (advanced reviewing copy), I will attempt to read and review it at least ten days before it’s release. 

  • All of my reviews include at least a brief summary of the book, my thoughts on the book, author information and trigger warnings (if any). 

Formats I accept:

I am accepting both ARCs and eARCs.

Genres I will accept:

I have fairly eclectic tastes, but my favorites are:

  • Mysteries – preferably cosy/cozy, historical, a little light supernatural
  • Cookbooks
  • Historical Fiction
  • Non-Fiction – primarily history, biography/memoir, art
  • General Fiction – primarily literary, some women’s
  • Pretty much any festive Christmas books

Genres I will not accept:

  • Thrillers/Psychological thrillers/Suspense/True Crime
  • Romance 
  • Self-help
  • Sci Fi/Fantasy (exceptions for authors I have previously reviewed here)
  • Horror
  • Religion/Politics

  1. Title
  2. Author
  3. Genre
  4. Publication date
  5. Brief book summary
  6. Author bio
  7. Trigger warnings (if any. Even if you don’t include them, I may add some to my review)
  8. Publicity Photos

I will attempt to respond to all review requests within 2 weeks. If you don’t hear from me, I am not able to review your book at this time.
